11/19/2013 - Waterbury Senior Center, Nov. 21

Brass City Harvest’s Mobile Farmers’ Market Van will be at the new Waterbury Senior Center on Thursday, Nov. 21 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. This partnership will provide fresh produce to those who lack access to it. The Mobile Van will feature fresh Connecticut grown products including salad greens, potatoes, winter squash, turnips, kale, apples, pears, leeks, and cabbage. CT Specialty food items such as goal milk soap, native honey and maple syrup will also be available. To increase accessibility, Brass City Harvest’s Mobile Farmers’ Market Van accepts SNAP and all credit cards as well as cash.

Brass City Harvest encourages residents to patronize local farm stands. Purchasing locally grown produce, farm baked goods and agricultural products benefits the economy of the state, and locally sourced food is the way to go for good health and nutrition.
