On Monday, September 23rd, the 19th Annual Bobby Bonds Memorial Scholarship Classic sponsored by New Opportunities, Inc. will take place at the Country Club of Waterbury.

Funds generated benefit the scholarship program. Since 1985, New Opportunities, Inc. has awarded scholarships for excellence in the arts and written expression for students attending school or living in Waterbury. To date, over $750,000 in scholarships has been awarded. We believe that your support will ensure that the scholastic hopes of our local deserving students are not stifled.

The Golf Tournament is the major fundraiser for the Scholarship Fund. The Tournament was founded in 1994 by the late Bobby Bonds as a way of saying “thank you” to the town in which his professional baseball career started.
