Greater Waterbury Art Show

Artists from the Greater Waterbury area are invited to show their works on the streets and in designated buildings in Waterbury. This two-day event is free and open to the public. Everyone will have an opportunity to see the great talent that this area has to offer. Art work will be available for sale. Artists are willing to create commissioned pieces, a portrait, a painting of the old homestead or the family pet.

The audience will enjoy the experience and the excitement of watching artists create something great from a blank canvas or a lump of clay.

June 28, 2013 and June 29, 2013
Bank Street sidewalks and wrapping around to Grand Streets sidewalks, downtown Waterbury.
Artists will begin appearing at 12 noon.

There will be a speed painting demonstration (in the style of Denny Dent) at 5:30 p.m. on June 28 in front of Webster Bank. In addition the the visual artists, Connecticut Dance Theatre will open their doors at The Howland-Hughes Center and celebrate their 3rd anniversary of relocating downtown.  Musicians will be performing on Bank Street, as well as a 'Spoken Word' artist educating on this style of poetry. The artists will be winding things down at around 7:00 p.m., if they can bring themselves to stop.
