6/13/2013 - Summer Employment Opportunity For Students

 

The City of Waterbury is offering an exciting summer employment opportunity for all students who will be 16 and older by July 1st.

The Parks and Recreation Department is looking for high school and college students to counsel and mentor elementary school children in an enrichment program, Monday-Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  The counselors will work out of Generali School, Reed School, Duggan School, and Gilmartin School.

The program will begin on Monday, July 8th and end on Thursday, August 1st.  The part-time jobs pay $8.75 per hour, and students will receive credit for community service due to the nature of the work.

All students who are selected for hire will need to be available for pre-service training on July 2nd and July 3rd.
