7/1/2013 - Energize Waterbury: Mommy & Me Save Energy Days

Mommy & Me Save Energy Days
Silas Bronson Library, 267 Grand Street
Wednesday, July 10, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Monday, August 5, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Family friendly energy workshops for parents and children by the eesmarts program, a K-12 energy learning initiative.  The programming keeps the younger audience entertained while mom and dad can learn a lesson about how to save energy and money around the home. All children will receive an eesmarts water bottle to help them stay cool. Making your home more energy efficient has these added health benefits: limits allergens, reduces cold or heated ailments, protects from Carbon Monoxide poisoning, maintains healthy moisture levels, keeps pests out and makes your home more comfortable for your family year-round.

Over the next several months, Energize Waterbury “Green Team” members will be working closely with city officials, Waterbury legislators, various neighborhood councils and community groups to raise awareness of the benefits of energy efficiency. “Green Team” members will be seen throughout the city, enrolling residents in programs and leading special events to provide residents with more information on available programs.

Energy efficiency and renewable energy programs are available for existing homes, apartments, condos, and for homeowners building new homes or remodeling. There is special pricing available for Waterbury residents and many free services for income-eligible customers.
