4/11/2013 - Street Sweeping Update, Week of April 15

Street Sweeping Update
The City’s residential street sweeping program began on Monday, April 1, 2013
and will continue through completion which is expected to be the end of May.
Property owners are asked to begin sweeping their sidewalks into the immediate
gutter line, removing any debris, litter and leaves. Sand should not be swept into large piles.

Week of 4/15/13:

Crew 1 will continue work in District 6-3 which encompasses the following areas:
Division St. / Long Hill Rd. north to Lakewood Rd.
North Main St. easterly to Wolcott St.
Approximately Thursday 4/18 this crew will begin work in District 6-2
which includes the Bucks Hill area and the Waterville area.

Crew 2 will continue work in District 4-2 which encompasses the following areas:
Crosby, Wallace Generali School areas.
Pierpont Rd. westerly to Scott Rd.
Meriden Rd. southerly to East Main St.

A third crew (Crew 3) will be added and begin sweeping in District 2 which is in the
west end of town from the Watertown line Bunker Hill Ave./ Ridgeland Dr. to West Main St.
and Park Rd. easterly to Watertown Ave. Also included within this district is the Colonial Ave./Brookside area.

The Public Works Department will post signs in the districts prior to scheduled sweeping.
Every effort should be made to remove parked vehicles from the scheduled routes prior to the arrival of the
sweepers. Vehicles not removed during the sweeping operation may be towed at the owner’s expense.
