The Bureau of Refuse continues to provide curbside collections of all types of solid waste and recycling materials for the citizens of Waterbury and all municipal buildings.  Over the years, it has strengthen ties with neighborhood associations and city residents by educating them about recycling and how to comply with solid waste practices.

Effective November 30th, the Mark Lane Transfer Facility returns to a winter schedule. The facility will be open Monday through Friday 7 a.m.-3 p.m. and closed on Saturday and Sunday. All vehicles must be on the scale by 2:30 p.m.
