ATTENTION AN IMPORTANT NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS OF THE CITY OF WATERBURY – BUREAU OF WATER The annual flushing of mains and testing of fire hydrants will begin on Monday, April 21, 2008. The work will be scheduled from 8:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., Monday through Friday until completion. An advertisement will run in the Waterbury Republican notifying residents of the 10 week program. Hydrant Flushing Program
As a result of flushing, customers may experience periods of reduced pressure and/or discolored water. This is not harmful, however, sufficient clean water should be drawn for drinking, cooking and washing at the start of each day.
