Emergency Preparedness Division/Bio-Terrorism

Contact: John Bayusik , Coordinator
Identifies the public health roles and responsibilities to respond to a public health emergency within the Waterbury Health Department's jurisdiction, including a bio-terrorist event.
In some public health emergencies the health department may need to set up clinics to provide health care or medication to those affected by a disease outbreak. Some of the tasks in a clinic could include; collecting forms, distributing information, directing people, or assisting with clinic operations. To get this work done in a health emergency requires a cadre of volunteers identified in advance of an event. A medical background is not required to be a volunteer.
If interested in volunteering in our Bio-terrorism/ Emergency Preparedness Division please contact John Bayusik for a brochure and application, or "Click Here" to enter your information on-line.
